How modern and risky she can be surprises me every day, it's like if she were forever young. She's definitely different.

Eveybody take it off!

When the dark of the night comes around that's the time, that the animal comes alive looking for something wild. And now we lookin' like pimps in my gold Trans-Am, got a water bottle full of whiskey in my handbag, got my drunk text on, I'll regret it in the mornin' but tonight:

There's a place downtown where the freaks all come around, it's a hole in the wal, it's a dirty free for all. And they turn me on when they Take It Off. EVERYBODY TAKE IT OFF!!

Always Effie (Kaya Scodelario for ASOS)

I'll write this post in English in honour to her. I loved her since I first saw her with her bad girl look. As she was the sister of a legend she was supposed to be it too. She began to influence his brother's friends life and she finished influencing the audience's life. Her style was as strong as her mind with her dark laced dresses, fishnet stockings, tutus, rock tees, broken clothes, dark nails and of course her smoky eyes and her Docs. She followed fashion on her way as a rebel. She wasn't just a pretty face or a dummy, as her mother said, she was special: She knew it since she haven't even born, she felt a huge energy inside her. And when she was born saw in her face that she wouldn't be as the other ones.
As Effie said, love makes us weak and being scared and all those supernatural forces can easily chase you because they know you are gonna be happy and they don't want you to be happy. I think that although love makes you weak due to being subjugated by someone that makes you get crazy, fashion makes us become stronger, you chose what you wanna wear to express yourself and your daily feelings. It makes us special as women, because it is a world where we are the fucking queens. "And if people don't like your art: FUCK THEM OFF!"
And I will always remember her leather jacket, her ripped tights and her braids dancing at the disco. Because that was my Effie, everybodys Effie.

This Monday has been here in Pontevedra the Pontus Véteris fashion show. It's not a big deal but it was the perfect pretext to join all the city fashion lovers in the same place. In such a small city a show like that is always very crowded, from inquisitive people who go there just to see what's happening to fashionistas who dress up with their bests outifts to show everybody what they are. Local newspapers and television also use it to show one more time to the province which is the big capital. Anyway, fashion was there and even though the shows weren't as good as the Pret à Porte ones they let us be aware of the big importance that it has nowadays in our society. The brands who took part were Florentino, Siempre es Viernes, Montoto, Miguel de Luna and Araújo Piel.

When in Rome

After a week in Italian lands life goes on. After feeling for the first time the mediterranean breeze and sun, seeing the Toscana y walking through the Roman and Florentine streets I could understand that it is the place where lots of big brands and the most part of the best painters and sculptors in history have come up. A place where art and beauty are breathed as it were just oxygen for our lungs.
Talking about fgashion maybe Florence inmpressed me more because of the elegance of its population, mixed with that special touch that their bikes give them. When I saw them I thought about Scott Schuman and his photos from Pitti Uomo, his men who dressed with a parka or a blazer look like the most stylish people in the world. And I could see them and feel by myself that innate elegance typical of the Florentine.
Most of you might be wondering how shops are there, they are really like here in Spain: ZARA, H&M, Mango, Massiomo Dutti and so on. You can find it in via del Corso in Rome and via Roma or via Por Santa María in Florence. The most original alternatives are the street markets like the straw one in Florence and via del Governo Vecchio in Rome.
Sadly I'm not anble to talk a lot about Roman style as most of the people I saw in the streets weren't from there. But what I can emphasize is the big amount of art that has been kept in my retina maybe forever. Because when I threw my coin in the Fontana di Trevi I knew I would come back , I don't know when but someday.

An adult's world

Everybody has a different concept of fashion, for some people it is that superficial world full of top models mainly anorexic and where regularity isn't common; for others it is art, the amazing work of photographers, designers, makeup artists and stylists; for the less interested is that thing that appears in VOGUE and company; for kids it may be an adult's world...
But there are that kind of people who create a blog or just read them each day, for the ones who is a way of life, a way of expressing feelings, of being yourself to the world, of comunication with people, an oportunity to let that the world meets you and meeting wonderful people. Everything leaded by the need of feeling yourself right that makes you do your best when you dress up every day.
This makes that when you go to a lowcost shop and if you have read a fashion magazine recently, you think you have seen before most of the clothes hanging there, how wonderful is that girl you've just seen in the street, that you feel like dying to get that expensive and unreachable piece of clothing, that you want to be like your favourite online muse or at least being a little bit like her, that you smile every time they tell you how good you look today, etc.
To sum up, a religion withour God where signs change each season or almost don't exist, because thanks to street style and social networks everything works, in a world where the sentence "They see me like that, they treat me like that" is catching on.
